2018 Summer Staff Information
Summer Staff provide integral support to Pilchuck Glass School’s education program. Summer staff is comprised of artists or art-interested individuals who dedicate time and energy to make the educational experience productive for all participants and host events to bring the campus together. Through this experience Summer Staff gain valuable professional skills, develop a network of peers, sit in on artist talks, learn new glassworking techniques, engage with Instructors and Artists in Residence [AiRs] and have studio access. This is not work study or a tuition assistance program, Summer Staff are fully active during the session in a unique way.
Summer Staff opportunities are diverse and fall into two categories: Coordinators and Campus Assistants—which one you apply for is based on your interest, skillset and experience. All candidates must have excellent communication skills, ability to follow through with the expectations of the roles applied for and the readiness to be flexible based on the program needs. 2018 KITCHEN TEAM INFORMATION
Pilchuck Glass School’s education program runs from mid-April through end of September. The program accommodates a rotating community of 100–125 participants, who reside on campus during the session—each session is either 2 or 3 weeks in duration. Artists on campus work hard—they also eat A LOT! The Lodge is where everyone gathers to eat meals together, the Chefs ensure that meals are tasty, nutritious and served on time every day. If you have professional experience feeding large groups and are interested in working and living in an international art community, please apply today to share your culinary talents with other artists.
