Bring your family friends and colleagues to discover Pilchuck Glass School. Tours present a rare opportunity for groups to visit Pilchuck and experience what our community is all about. Come learn about the wide range of glass making processes taught at Pilchuck, talk with working artists, and watch hot glass demonstrations.

What to Expect: During your tour, learn about the wide range of glass making processes, talk with working artists, visit the campus studios, and hear about the history and the future of the school. The Pilchuck campus was designed to provide working artists with a peaceful and inspiring setting for intensive creative endeavors. Many organizations find the campus equally inspiring and use Pilchuck’s Spring Tours as an opportunity for a motivating excursion or for courting special clients

Dates: Tours for organizational groups are offered May 11 – 19, 2010 (excluding Sunday, May 16) and are lead by a Pilchuck Glass School employee or trained volunteer tour guide.

Times: Tours begin at 10:00 am and 2:00 pm each day. The tour of the campus facilities and Hot Shop takes approximately 90 minutes.

Tour Size: We prefer a minimum of 10 people but can accommodate groups as large as 40.

Additional Details: Pilchuck is located on uneven terrain and not all buildings are wheelchair accessible. Expect uneven and gravel paths, logs, lots of steps, grass and maybe even mud. Flat walking shoes or boots are strongly recommended. This is the Pacific Northwest, so be prepared for inclement weather: dress warmly and bring a raincoat or umbrella. Artists will be working on campus and are happy to chat and answer your questions. However, formal classes are not taught session during tours. Light refreshments are served.

Cost: Tours are $30 per person, with refreshments. And $40 per person with lunch in the lodge. Staying for lunch is a great opportunity to socialize with the artists on campus.

Senior Citizens and Student Groups: Adults 65 and older and students receive a discount rate of $20 per person per tour/ $30 per person per tour including lunch.

Payment: There is a 50% deposit required to reserve your tour. Payment in full is due by April 25, 2010 made payable to Pilchuck Glass School. Note: if you wish to include your bus or van driver in the tour, you must include them in your tour count.

Cancellation Policy: Payment in full is due by April 25, 2010 made payable to Pilchuck Glass School. Cancellations made up to two weeks prior to your tour date will receive a refund. No refunds are available for tours cancelled less than two weeks prior to the tour date.
