Glass art has become a Northwest signature, due in large part to Pilchuck Glass School. Each summer Pilchuck attracts the best artists and teachers working in glass from around the world. They come together to learn, experiment, create, explore and share their art.

Bring your friends and colleagues to discover this unique learning center.

Set on a beautiful, wooded campus near Stanwood, Washington (one hour north of Seattle), Pilchuck Glass School offers the opportunity to view the fascinating spectacle of glassblowing up close, learn about the wide range of glass making processes, talk with working artists, tour the studios and award-winning architecture, and hear about the history and the future of the school. The Pilchuck campus was designed to provide working artists with a peaceful and inspiring setting for intensive creative endeavors. Many organizations find the campus equally inspiring as a setting for an interesting excursion or for courting special clients.

Tours: Tours will beoffered to organizational groups on May 6-13, 2008. Tours are led by a Pilchuck Glass School employee or trained volunteer tour guide and begin at 10:00 am or 2:00 pm. The tour of the campus facilities and “Hot Shop” takes approximately one hour. Classes are not in session during tours, but artists will be working on the campus and will be happy to answer your questions. Tours are offered to organizational groups with a minimum of 10 people and as large as 45 people.

Cost: Tours are available for $30 per person and include tea and treats. Payment in full is due by April 25, 2008, made payable to Pilchuck Glass School. Note: if you wish to include your bus or van driver in the tour, you must include them in your tour count.

Senior Citizens and Student Groups receive a discount rate of $20 per person per tour.

Access: Pilchuck is located on rough terrain and the grounds and buildings are not wheelchair accessible. Expect uneven paths, logs, lots of steps, grass and mud. Flat walking shoes or boots are a necessity. This is the Northwest, so be prepared for inclement weather: dress warmly and bring a raincoat or umbrella.

Cancellation Policy: Cancellations made prior to April 11 will be refunded in full. Cancellations made up to one week prior to your tour date will receive a 50% refund. No refunds are possible for tours cancelled less than one week prior to the tour date. Please note that Pilchuck Glass School is a 501(c)3 organization and any contributions are tax deductible to the extent provided by law.
