A unique opportunity to enhance your auction-going experience and to learn about contemporary glass art, Pilchuck Glass School’s 2008 Auction Tour will feature four days and nights dedicated to contemporary glass. Running from Wednesday, October 29th and ending on Saturday, November 1, 2008; the tour offers an informational and inspirational exploration of the Pacific Northwest’s place in the American Studio Glass Movement.

$1,750 per person

Price Includes:

All meals except as noted on the final itinerary

 

All transportation other than airfare and airport-hotel

Reservations are accepted on a first paid, first honored basis. Space is limited. Space is limited to 70 participants. Make your reservations early. The tour fills quickly and usually has a wait list.



Sample itinerary from the 2007 Auction Tour:

Welcoming cocktails at the studios of two respected Seattle artists; a visit to tour Pilchuck’s forested campus and watch artists’ demonstrations; a visit to Dale Chihuly’s Ballard studio; visits to five artists’ studios to meet the artists at work; visits to collectors’ homes located in stunning Seattle historic neighborhoods; a trip to the Museum of Glass with exclusive seating in the Hot Shop to view artist Lino Tagliapietra working and, a farewell dinner at the Olympic Sculpture Park.
