Brent Sommerhauser creates sculpture from a wide variety of materials with the intention of making the imagery more tangible while romancing the real. He received his M.F.A. degree from the Ohio State University and exhibits throughout the United States and abroad. Sommerhauser taught at Pilchuck in 2008 and was recently awarded a Cirque du Soleil community support grant for the visual and performing arts. He teaches at the University of Nevada, Las Vegas, and is a member of the art collective Telegraph.
