View from Apartment
#601 was born out of the artist’s attempt to explain
the concept of faith to her child, who questioned the
reason for seemingly tragic events. After looking out
of one window, they went to a window on the other side
of the building, and everything looked different. They
wondered how their view would change with time and imagined
being able to look through every window in the world.
According to the artist, faith is the realization that
we can’t always understand why things happen because
our view is limited to one window and one time. Jackie
