Sonja Blomdahl received her B.F.A. from the Massachusetts College of Art in 1974 and studied at the Orrefors Glass School in Sweden. She has a hot-glass studio in Seattle. This year, Sonja was selected to design a limited edition glass piece for the Museum of Glass in Tacoma. She was invited to receptions at the White House and the State Department celebrating the fortieth anniversary of the Art in Embassies Program. Sonja’s work is at the American Embassies in the Philippines and Romania and has also been on display in Gabon, Moldova, and Syria.
