Jonathan Schmuck received a Fulbright Scholarship to the Canberra School of Art, where he worked with Scott Chaseling, Klaus Moje, and Kirstie Rea while the roll-up technique was being perfected there. Jonathan received an M.F.A. from the Rochester Institute of Technology in 1997 and was the student representative on the G.A.S. board in 1996–97. He recently built a studio in Santa Cruz, California.
