Richard Glenn is a Seattle-area
artist known for his fused-glass photo collages and
Pop style. Appreciated for their Warholian visual qualities
and wry humor, Richard’s works are shown throughout
the country and are included in a number of prominent
collections. He is a Pilchuck student and volunteer.
Shoe Tree is part of a series inspired by artist Delores
Taylor. The shoes are an allusion to our ceaseless desire
for more, better, or something utterly unobtainable.
They are a statement about beauty above practicality,
style over substance, and shopping mall consumer culture.
