Jeffrey Sarmiento is a Filipino American artist based in Chicago. He has participated at Pilchuck as a member of the summer staff, a teaching assistant, and a 2002 emerging artist in residence. After returning from a Fulbright Fellowship in Denmark, Jeffrey has been examining cultural hybridity, mistranslation, and new ways of understanding ethnicity through his work.
