Pilchuck Glass School Elects New, Returning Trustees and New Officers

Seattle, WA – November 11, 2003 – Pilchuck Glass School is pleased to announce the election of eight new trustees, the re-election of thirteen returning trustees, a new slate of officers, and new members of its Advisory Council during its November 5, 2003, annual meeting held at McCaw Hall.

New trustees elected for a three-year term include Patty Barrier (Bellevue, WA), Betty Blount (Seattle, WA), Corinne Cowan (Bellevue, WA), Kate Elliott (North Bend, WA), Mark Hamilton (Seattle, WA), C. David Hughbanks (Seattle, WA), Mickey J. Mandel (Denver, CO) and Richard L. Weisman (Seattle, WA). Trustees elected for an additional three-year term are Doug Anderson, Tilda Brown, Joey Kirkpatrick, Fraeda Kopman, Randy Lert, Dante Marioni, Benjamin Moore, John Price, Connie Rogel, Randall Rubenstein, Norm Sandler, Allen Shoup, and Preston Singletary. For 2004, Pilchuck’s board will total 48 trustees.

In addition to the election of new and returning trustees, the board selected a slate of officers for 2004.
They are:
R. Bryce Seidl, President
Ron Crowell, Vice President
Benjamin P. Moore, Vice President
Samuel H. Smith, Vice President
John Price, Treasurer
Patricia Wallace, Secretary

Six trustees end their service to Pilchuck Glass School this year. They are Chap Alvord, Dale Anderson, Bill Kopman, Darle Maveety, Christina Orr-Cahall, and H. Stewart Parker. However, Pilchuck will retain the services of Chap Alvord, Dale Anderson and Darle Maveety as each will join the Advisory Council. Established in 1992, the council recognizes individuals who have made extraordinary contributions to the growth of the school and enables them to continue their close relationship to the school while not burdening them with the responsibilities expected from trustees.
