Sonja Blomdahl received her
B.F.A. from the Massachusetts College of Art in 1974. Since
then, she has studied at the Orrefors Glass School in Sweden,
built her own glass studio in Seattle, and taught many times
at Pilchuck. Blomdahl was recently a guest artist in the Summer
Series hosted by Tacoma’s Museum of Glass. She was also
the featured artist for the inaugural show at William Traver
Gallery’s Tacoma space and will soon mount a solo show
at Duane Reed’s new gallery in Florida. Her work is
in public and private collections from the Museum of Fine
Arts, Boston, to the Museum of Decorative Arts in the Czech
Republic.
