Susan Balshor is a mixed-media sculptor with M.A.s in sculpture and philosophy. She teaches moldmaking and kiln casting at the Pratt Fine Arts Center and has participated at Pilchuck as a student, teaching assistant, artist's assistant, and staff member. Most recently, she assisted artist in residence Judy Chicago. The Light House series was inspired by the oil purses women used for carrying lamp oil home from the market.
