This piece, characteristic of Scott Benefield’s work, was inspired by mid-twentieth-century Italian design. Benefield has been affiliated with Pilchuck since 1986 as a student, staff member, and teaching assistant. He was awarded the Fulbright-Hay Grant in 1987. Benefield is a past president of the Glass Art Society and was a Wheaton Village Fellow in 2002.
