Masterfully combining texture, color, composition, proportion, and theme, Nick Wirdnam’s work involves the use of symbols as sculpture to represent individuals, change, and circumstance. In 1990, Wirdnam graduated from Monash University, where he now heads the glass program. He exhibits extensively throughout Asia, Australia, and Europe, and his works are in the collections of the National Gallery of Australia, the Niijima Contemporary Glass Art Museum in Japan, and the Queensland Art Gallery and the Victoria State Collection in Australia, among others.
