Grace Hung often thinks
of glass as the beginning place in her work, a means
as opposed to an end. In her series of photograms, she
explores images of light. Her interest in the material
of light stems from light “being an experience,
not an object, and that it speaks of the act of perception,
ephemerality, and the viewer’s presence.”
Hung received a B.F.A. in an individualized program
at the California College of Arts and Crafts and has
been an artist’s assistant at Pilchuck for the
last couple of years.
