Karen Carston has been a student, artist's assistant, teaching assistant, and staff member at Pilchuck since 1992. Last summer she participated as a wood and metals coordinator. She has studied at the Pratt Fine Arts Center and the Appalachian Center for Crafts. The Wine Bottle series is influenced by the wine industry that surrounds her home in Napa.
